Stuffing with bread and nuts for our Turkey this year. Just, simple and cheap. It is ideal if you have vegetarian guests, Since it can be baked and separately from the meat. The nuts on the other give the impression of minced meat and so nobody will be left unsatisfied.
- ½ kilo of bread cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a little more
- 2 onions, grated or finely chopped
- 1 Cup chicken or vegetable broth
- ½ cup almond grounded
- ¼ Cup grated pecorino
- 1 ½ tablespoon fresh oregano or other flavoring of your choice
- salt & pepper
Heat the oil in a saucepan and saute the onion. Add the walnuts and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden all.
Add the broth, the pecorino cheese, oregano and salt and pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Remove from the heat and add the bread cubes.
Mix well and set aside 10-15 minutes to absorb a lot of liquid. Fill with this mixture the Turkey or the spread in pan where and sprinkle with some more olive oil.
In the first case bake along with the rest of the food, While in the second in a preheated oven at 190C for 20-25 minutes or until you get nice color and make the crust surface.
