Perfect Sunday beef to gather all running at the table. What better than tender meat cooked with vegetables in a rich sauce. All you will need is a double quantity of bread because food impose.
- 1 pound veal for pan, cut into large pieces
- 4-5 carrots chopped
- 4-5 potatoes, chopped coarsely
- 5-6 sprigs celery
- 1 large onion grated
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 heaped tablespoon flour
- ½ Cup tomato juice
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 8 cups beef broth prepared or homemade
Put the meat in plenty of water to catch boil. Skim and strain. Heat oil in large skillet and saute the onion to Polish and then the garlic ½ minute.
Add the meat and stir. Season and sprinkle with paprika.
Add the broth, tomato juice , Daphne and Worcestershire sauce. Allow to cook with closed lid 1 ½ hour.
Pour vegetables, mix gently and continue cooking for another 45 minutes. If needed, add a little water or broth if we. Sprinkle with the flour and stir to dissolve.
Cook for 15-20 minutes and turn off the heat. Serve the warm meat with vegetables and saltsoyla .
