Dakos with beets and grilled onions for our table and will impress, escape from the ordinary, without much effort and cost.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 nuts rusks – barley bagels
  • 250gr. Cherry tomatoes cut in half
  • ½ kilo of beetroot, boiled, chopped
  • 4-6 medium sized onions
  • 200gr. Feta cheese, cut into pieces
  • 12 kalamata olives
  • Olive Oil
  • salt & pepper
  • Fresh or dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

Method

Step 1

Peel the onions and place the whole on a griddle. Sprinkle with a little oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 c for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Lightly moisten the nuts and place on platter. Diaskorpizoyme beetroot, scatter the olives, cherry tomatoes and feta and place the grilled onions.

Step 3

Sprinkle with vinegar and a generous amount of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with plenty of fresh or dried oregano to serve.
