Goulash , veal from Hungary. Traditional food with plenty of paprika and several times adding vegetables. Food symbol for Hungarians served today at our table.
Ingredients
- 700gr. Beef cut into chunks
- 2 large onions chopped
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 big tablespoon of paprika
- 400gr. Tomato juice
- A pinch of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of Marjoram
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- salt & pepper
- 1 ½ Cup consomme
Method
Step 1
Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the meat to get color from all sides. Remove with a slotted spoon and keep aside.
Step 2
In the same pan, add the onion and garlic. Saute for 1 thin and sprinkle with paprika, the Caraway and Marjoram.
Step 3
Stir and pour the tomato juice mixed with broth and sugar. Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Transfer to oven pot with a lid and cook in a preheated oven at 160C for 2 hours. Serve hot with accompanying our liking.
