Shanks Braised stew

Good month with shank Braised stew for foodies !

Ingredients

  • 1 Kochi , about 1 kg
  • ¼ of a spoonful of sweet cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 Cup tomato juice
  • salt & pepper
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 1 Cup beer
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Bay leaves

Method

Step 1

engrave lightly the meat in 2-3 points and pushing there in a clove of garlic cut into pieces. season and place in the pot that we have warmed up the oil, to get color from all sides. Remove and keep aside.

Step 2

Add if you need extra oil and saute the onion and remaining garlic. Back the meat in the skillet and deglaze with beer. Add the bay leaf and sprinkle with Allspice, cinnamon, thyme and a little spice.

Step 3

Dissolve the tomato paste with a little water and add to the pot along with the tomato juice and sugar. Add 1 ½ Cup water or broth and half close with the lid. Allow to cook on low heat gia1 ½ - 2 hours at least, until we have acompletely tender meat and thick sauce.

Step 4

Serve the food hot with accompanying our liking, ideally with mashed potatoes.
