Beef "braise" with jam for adults

Today I' m cooking beef "braise" with jam for adults. The jam. And the beef. with Jam tomato for adults . Basically eaten also for adults or not. Just today I have a playful mood, Oddly. My husband claims that I am not the most pleasant person in the world when I wake up in the morning. Then of course this varies, but unfortunately not always to the good. something that happen to most of the people, There are days that dont start very nice. However today along with the good mood came and the appetite for a slow cooked beef, aka "braise". With a nice piece from beef, red wine and jam concerned we have a final lunch or dinner for the whole family.

700gr. Beef

3 tablespoons olive oil

4-5 garlic cloves, whole or crushed

1 Cup red wine

1 ½ litre of broth or water

salt & pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon oregano or thyme

¾ Cup Jam tomato for adults or other Red jam

¼ Cup tomato juice

1/3 the spoonful of sweet chilli powder (Optional)


Step 1

Boil meat in plenty of water for 15 minutes and clean it. Drain and keep aside.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a wide and shallow pan and saute 1 minute garlic stirring. Plsce meat and when just get color on both sides, Deglaze with the wine. Pour the tomato juice and just a little broth or water. Season and sprinkle with paprika.

Step 3

Leave to Cook , with closed lid,at low heat for 1 ½ hour, checking intermittently Pan fluids. Add the jam,thyme and chilli if using. Stir and continue cooking for other 30 minutes.

Step 4

Slamming the heat and pour with the remaining oil. Let it stand 15 minutes and serve with side dish of your choice and sauce from the Pan.
