Lazy cabbage rolls with leftovers of the festive table. In our case, rice and turkey. In place of the turkey put any meat left and any vegetables have on hand. With minimal effort we have a brand new dish with all the leftovers. Easily, economy and inventiveness, always in ZannetCooks.gr.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups of cabbage, grated or chopped
  • ¾ Cup rice cooked
  • 1 package onion soup powder or another soup that we
  • ¾ cup chopped turkey or other meat
  • 1-2 peppers chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • salt & pepper
  • A pinch of sugar
  • Olive Oil
  • ¼ Cup parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ cup grated cheese of your choice

Method

Step 1

Dissolve the powdered onion soup, tomato paste and sugar 2 ½ cups boiling water.

Step 2

Add the cabbage and mix. Cook for 10 minutes and remove from the heat.

Step 3

Allow to cool slightly and add the rice, the peppers, parsley, turkey, salt and pepper according to taste. Add half the cheese and mix.

Step 4

Grease a baking pan and spread the mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and sprinkle with a little more oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 c for 20-25 minutes.

Step 5

Allow to cool and cut into portions to serve.
