Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Cup Fava Beans
  • 2 Onion grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 6 dried plums
  • The leaves of 1-2 Rosemary sprigs
  • salt & pepper
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon dry thyme

Method

Step 1

Rinse the split peas and set aside.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion to Polish. Add the garlic for ½ minute and then prunes.

Step 3

Stir and add the split peas. Add the broth and season with salt and pepper.

Step 4

Add the herbs and just boil, lower heat and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally for 30-35 minutes.

Step 5

The Fava puree with the special rod or leave to cool slightly and puree in multi. Transfer the soup to a boil and remove from the heat.

Step 6

Serve immediately with ready-made or homemade croutons and extra Rosemary or / and thyme.
