Roasted mushroom Pate with feta cheese for a different appetizer, with simple materials that will impress everybody on the holiday table.
- 200gr. Portobello Mushrooms
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 Cup leeks chopped
- 180gr. Crumbled feta
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 beaten egg
- salt & pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil and in addition to the form
- 3 tablespoons of nut kernel chontrotrimmeni
- Juice from ½ lemon
- 2-3 drops Tabasco, Optional
Heat the oil in a skillet and saute onion and leeks for 2-3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and continue sautéing most of liquids areabsorbed and mushrooms are browned . Let the mixture cool down.
Transfer in multi cheese and the mushroom mixture and mix together well. Put them in a bowl with all other ingredients and mix well.
Grease an oblong form and transfer the mixture. Lay the surface and bake in preheated oven at 190C for 30-35 minutes.
Allow to cool completely and refrigerate 3-4 hours or overnight. to serve we upside down pate on platter, sprinkle with more nuts, chives or whatever we want and cut into slices to serve with crackers or toasted bread.
