Fava tarts with shrimp putaneska to continue in the same spicy climate, just as it is for our taste!

1 ½ Cup split peas cooked

½ Cup semolina

salt & pepper

Olive Oil

For the shrimp putaneska:

10 shrimp pre boiled, entire

3 anchovy fillets

2 garlic cloves crushed

2 tablespoons olive oil

salt & pepper

1 Onion grated

1 tablespoon tomato paste

20 cherry tomatoes whole or halved

A pinch of sugar

¼ Cup Mint chopped

2 tablespoons kalamata olives, cut into rings

1 tablespoon capers

Chilli pepper, Depending on tastes


Step 1

Prepare the bases stirring in a bowl of Fava, semolina, salt and pepper and a little olive oil. Shape to obtain a uniform mix which divide in 2.

Step 2

Grease 2 round fireproof utensils (like this for the casserole) and spread into the dough, pressing to run-in and touched a bit on the side. Bake in preheated oven at 250C for 13-16 minutes. Let cool and xeformaroume.

Step 3

Meanwhile, prepare the shrimp. Heat the oil gently and add the anchovies. Stir until melted. Pour the onion, the garlic and chillies and saute 1-2 minutes.

Step 4

Add the cherry tomatoes, the tomato paste diluted in a cup of water, Capers, scatter the olives, sugar, and a little spice. Simmer for 15 minutes and pour the shrimp and Mint. Stir and cook other 3 minutes. Slamming the fire and let the dressing stand 10 minutes.

Step 5

Divide the sauce over the tartlets and serve immediately, plain or accompanied by green salad.
